Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces: Listen Now, Decide Later
Full Moon: 05:18 BST • 28th August 2026
This month’s Full Moon falls in Pisces and is accompanied by a partial Lunar Eclipse.
Every Full Moon marks the peak of the lunar cycle and is traditionally associated with culmination, emotional awareness and release. A Lunar Eclipse can make these themes feel more significant, bringing something into focus that we may need to recognise or view differently.
Pisces is closely associated with intuition, dreams, imagination and our spiritual lives. Under this Full Moon, you may feel drawn towards reflection or divination. You might notice a particular thought returning, remember a vivid dream or find unexpected inspiration in something ordinary.
But eclipses can also magnify what we are feeling. Something may seem especially important in the moment, even when we do not yet have the full picture.
The invitation of this Full Moon is not to ignore what comes up, but neither is it to rush towards an answer.
Sometimes something can be worth paying attention to without requiring an immediate decision.
When Everything Feels More Significant
Perhaps a conversation affects you more than expected. You wake from a dream that stays with you throughout the day. An idea arrives and suddenly feels like the answer to everything. Or you realise that something no longer feels quite right, even though you do not yet know what needs to change.
These experiences do not need to be dismissed. They may be showing you something important.
But strong feelings can make it difficult to tell the difference between what needs our attention and what needs immediate action.
This can be particularly difficult when you are used to solving problems quickly. When work, family and everyday responsibilities depend on you, noticing an issue often means immediately working out what to do about it.
This Pisces Lunar Eclipse offers a different approach.
Notice first. Decide later.
Rather than forcing a conclusion, write down what you noticed without turning it into a plan. Returning to your notes after the intensity of the Full Moon has passed may help you see things more clearly.
Making Space for Intuition and Imagination
Pisces is one of the signs most closely connected with intuition, making this a meaningful time for Tarot, Oracle cards, dream journalling or simply spending a little time alone with your thoughts.
Divination does not have to provide an immediate yes-or-no answer. A card can offer another perspective or give you a question to reflect on over the days ahead.
If you find it difficult to recognise the difference between intuition, anxiety and ordinary thought, you may also find my guide What Is Intuition? How to Recognise and Reconnect With Your Inner Knowing helpful.
Earlier this month, the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo invited us to think about creativity. This Pisces Full Moon continues that thread through imagination and inspiration.
An idea may return through a dream, music, the imagery in a Tarot card or a few unexpected minutes of daydreaming. You may not have acted on anything you considered beneath the Leo New Moon, and this Full Moon is not a progress check.
Write the idea down, sketch it or make a short note on your phone. You do not need to decide whether it is practical or where it might lead.
Allowing it to exist is enough for now.
Staying Grounded Before You Decide
Grounding does not mean dismissing your feelings or explaining away every intuitive thought. Taking a bath or shower, stepping outside, putting your phone down or sleeping on an idea can give you a steadier place from which to observe it.
There is no contradiction in being open to intuition while waiting for more information. We can make room for imagination, emotion and spiritual reflection without asking them to carry the full weight of a decision.
Full Moons are traditionally associated with release, but that does not have to mean making a dramatic change. Under this Pisces Lunar Eclipse, you may simply be ready to let go of:
✦︎ The pressure to understand everything immediately.
✦︎ The belief that every strong feeling requires action.
✦︎ An expectation that no longer matches what you want.
✦︎ The habit of dismissing your intuition before giving it any consideration.
Sometimes release begins by allowing a question to remain unanswered for a little longer.

Journal Prompts for the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces
✦︎ What has continued to hold my attention recently?
✦︎ Where am I placing pressure on myself to reach an immediate answer?
✦︎ Have any dreams or creative ideas stayed with me?
✦︎ What would help me feel grounded while I give this more time?
✦︎ What am I ready to release before the next lunar cycle begins?
You do not need to answer every question tonight. Choose the one that stands out and allow that to be enough.
A Pisces Full Moon Scrying and Reflection Ritual
You will need a bowl of water, a piece of paper and a pen. You may also wish to place a candle safely behind the bowl so its light reflects across the water.
Place the bowl in front of you and take a few slow breaths. Notice the surface beneath your feet or body and give yourself a moment to settle.
Look softly at the water rather than trying to focus on one particular point. Notice any shapes, reflections, colours, thoughts or feelings that come to mind. There is no need to search for a message or predict what will happen.
After a few minutes, ask yourself:
What deserves my attention, without requiring an immediate answer?
Write down any impressions that stayed with you, even if they do not seem important or make complete sense yet. Circle one word, image or feeling that stands out, then write beneath it:
I can pay attention to this without deciding what it means tonight.
Spend a moment considering what it would feel like to release the pressure for an immediate answer. When you are ready, pour the water away as a simple symbol of letting that pressure go.
Keep your notes somewhere safe and return to them after a few days. Notice whether the word or image you circled feels clearer, less important or different from how it first appeared.
As this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse reaches its peak, pay attention to what asks to be noticed, but give it time before deciding what it means. For now, listening is enough.
